Cristina – From a simple home network to a professional set-up
How nice would it be to open your laptop and have access to a fast and stable internet connection? Digital nomad or not, being able to work remotely is becoming increasingly important in our daily lives. Cristina, head of the IT department of Nanit Rooms Ibiza, also noted that her guests find it very important to have access to a well-functioning internet connection. So, it was high time to work on a new Wi-Fi network. LanMan systeembeheer supported her in this.
Nanit Rooms Ibiza is a hostel located on, as the name says, beautiful Ibiza. Cristina explains: “The hostel is a family business and has been around for about 60 years.” Six years ago, Cristina and Laila, the owner of Nanit Rooms Ibiza, renovated the hostel. “That was quite a project.”
“We also decided that we want to provide our guests with a good and stable internet connection,” Cristina continues. “It’s not that we experienced any problems, but there are always people visiting Ibiza for work. A good internet connection is very important. That is why we brought in Manfred.”
Manfred and Cristina met each other through Laila’s family. When Cristina heard that Manfred could help with the hostel’s internet connection, she was instantly excited: “It was a great opportunity for us to upgrade our system. Manfred makes use of the latest technologies, which is perfect for us. Our internet connection went from a simple home network to a professional set-up.”
Cristina is very pleased with the collaboration with Manfred: “Everything was arranged very quickly. I supported him here and there and so did a friend of ours. It all went very smoothly.”
In addition, Cristina indicates that this is not a one-time project. She is looking forward to a long-term collaboration with Manfred: “The device that Manfred has now installed for us is called The Dream Machine, a funny name. This machine will also help us in the future because you can connect different devices to it. Think of surveillance cameras or door locks. How convenient!”. Fun fact: If all goes well, the surveillance cameras will be connected later this year!
